Surgery
At both Moon Creek Veterinary Clinic and Hull Veterinary Clinic we offer an array of surgeries for your dog or cat. Our veterinarians have performed thousands of companion animal surgeries in their many years of experience. If you have any questions about a possible surgery your dog or cat may need, give us a call!
Canine and Feline Spays & Neuters
A ovariohysterectomy otherwise known as a spay consists of the removal of the ovaries and uterus. A neuter consists of the removal of the testicles. These are both same day surgeries at Moon Creek and Hull Veterinary Clinics which means your pet will go home the same day as the surgery was performed.
-
Pain medication will be administered post surgery and will also be sent home with the owner to give.
-
It is important to monitor your animal's incision for the first week after their spay or neuter.
-
Limiting things such as jumping, licking of the area, and rough-housing for the first 3-4 days is essential to the incisions healing process.
Feline Declaws
The removing of a feline's claws is a process known as declawing. Our clinic's require your feline stays overnight for observation after the declawing. We offer both front claw removals and all four claw removals.

Pain medication will be administered post surgery

You can expect tenderness related to the procedure for the first 1-2 weeks.

Replace the litter in the litter box with shredded paper for at least 5 days.
